Fun on the Water

Of course, in summertime, Gull Lake and all its fine water activities are the center of attention. You can easily spend the day lounging by the water’s edge, having a picnic with the family, and making the most of romantic moonlight strolls on the shore. But if you prefer a more active vacation, you’ll enjoy renting kayaks and exploring the lake at your own speed, or, for more adrenaline, renting jet skis and whizzing around! Why not try a new sport this summer, and take a stand-up paddling lesson? It combines a great core workout with a fun new way to get around on the water. Finally, if the whole family likes to stay together in one vessel, consider renting one of our top-notch tritoon boats, and make the most of the luxury speaker system and comfy chairs while you see who can catch the biggest fish for dinner!

Exploring Gull Lake’s Surrounding Areas

While the lake is obviously the main attraction, there are so many cool spots nearby Gull Lake to check out. One great way to explore is via bicycle, on the Paul Bunyan Trail. This 120-mile paved multi-use path winds from town to town, through the beautiful forests and around many lakes in this gorgeous region. Or, if you prefer more adrenaline as you see the sights, check out the Brainerd Zip Line Tour: this 2.5-hour experience leads you through seven zip lines, a suspended sky bridge, and an optional 50-foot freefall to finish it off! You’ll enjoy incredible and unique views of the scenic Brainerd Lakes region along the way.
