  • Can I check-in early?

    Check in is at 4:00 PM. A 4-digit door code will be provided in the Welcome Book you will receive prior to your arrival. We offer early check-in at 2PM for a $50 fee, subject to availability. If you require check-in earlier than 2PM, we recommend booking the previous night to guarantee access. In the event that the property is not ready by 2PM due to unforeseen circumstances, the early check-in fee will be refunded. You must request early check-in at least 24 hours before arrival. Please do not arrive at property prior to your approved check-in time.

  • Can I get a later check-out time?

    Check-out is at 10:00 AM. We appreciate your prompt departure to allow us time to prepare for incoming guests. We offer a late check-out of 11:00 AM for a $50 fee, subject to availability. If you have not arranged a late check-out in advance, a $50 fee per hour will apply for any time spent on the property beyond 10:00 AM, with a minimum charge of one hour. If the unit is not vacated by 3:00 PM on your check-out day, a fee equivalent to the daily rental rate may be assessed

  • Can I make a reservation directly on your website and is payment secure?

    Our guests will enjoy the convenience of quickly and easily paying for our vacation homes directly through our website. Rest easy knowing that our online Vacation Rent Payment platform is accredited, certified, secured, and compliant. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover and digital wallet payment methods.

  • Is there an age requirement to book a reservation?

    The reservation must be made by a guest who is 21 years of age or older.

  • Can I bring more people than the number you list as the occupancy?

    Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the unit at any given time (this includes guests and visitors), some of which may be mandated by internal and external regulations. Exceptions for the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2.

  • Can I cancel my reservation due to weather conditions?

    Gull Lake Management/Resort/Rentals does not issue refunds due to acts of nature such as: weather, road conditions, snow conditions, power outages or forest fires. If the property is uninhabitable due to such circumstances and you did not purchase travel insurance, reservations can be rescheduled for future dates within one year of the reservation date.

  • Do you offer travel insurance?

    Yes, you will be given an option to add the cost of travel insurance during the online reservation process on our website.

  • When are payments due?

    25% deposit is due at time of booking; 50% (75% cumulative) due 120 days prior to arrival; Final payment will be required 60 days prior to checking-in to your vacation rental. If your booking is less than 120 days the deposit will be 75% due at time of booking and final payment will be required 60 days prior to checking-in. If booking within 60 days of your stay, payment in full is due at time of reservation.

  • What supplies are included with the rental of one of your units?

    A starter supply of expendable supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo and conditioner, liquid dish soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags and coffee are provided; please bring additional if you feel a small supply will not be adequate. Housekeeping is not provided during your stay.

  • Do I need to bring linens and towels?

    Bath towels, bed sheets, pillows and blankets are provided.

  • Is smoking allowed?

    Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside any of our units. If any smoke odor is detected after your departure, a minimum fee of $500 will be charged, with the possibility of additional cleaning fees depending on the severity.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Pets are PROHIBITED at all times on the rental premises or inside the property. Service animals are welcome, however, they cannot be left unattended inside the property. Violations under this Section will result in a charge of $500 plus applicable taxes, immediate removal of pet, cancellation of the reservation, rent forfeiture, and/or license termination.

  • Is there internet access?

    All of our units are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi internet. You will receive access details in your check-in email.

  • Do you have grills available?

    Bay Colony units offer shared gas grills for guest use. Interlachen units are equipped with private gas grills. Gull Haven units feature private charcoal BBQ grills—please remember to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

  • Do you have firepits on the beach?

    Yes, during the Summer season there are several firepits available along each community on the beach. There will be firewood bends near the firepits. These are on a first-come, first served basis.

  • Is there someone I can contact if there are issues during my stay?

    Yes, before your arrival, we will send you the name and cell phone number of an on-premises contact who can help with any questions or problems you may have during your stay.

  • Can I bring my own boat? Is there a charge for boat lift?

    Yes, we offer nightly boat lifts rentals for $50/night. We encourage you to reserve the lift upon your booking. Watercrafts (boats, pontoons, etc.) are not permitted to be tied to the docks at any time. Some large pontoons may not fit on the lifts. Please let us know what type/size pontoon you have.

  • Do you have boat rentals?

    Yes, we have pontoons and a fishing boat available for rent. Give our guest service team a call at 218-656-6965 to reserve today!

    Cancellation Policy: a 30-day written notice is required with a cancellation fee of $150.00. No refunds on any cancellations less than 30 days from reservation date. Special considerations in case of in-climate weather.

  • Can you swim in Gull Lake, MN?

  • How many acres is Gull Lake?

    9,947 acres Gull Lake is located just northwest of Brainerd, Minnesota, on the border of Cass and Crow Wing Counties. It covers 9,947 acres, which places it in the upper 5% of lakes in Minnesota in terms of size. Gull Lake is part of a chain of lakes that consists of 8 lakes and connecting channels covering 13,000 acres.

  • How many homes are on Gull Lake?

    The shoreline is highly developed with residential and commercial interests. For each shoreline mile there are 27.8 homes or cabins.

  • Is Gull Lake good for ice fishing?

    Gull Lake is of the top ice fishing destinations in the northern Minnesotan Brainerd Lakes region. Hardwater anglers populate the lake in mid-December through the mid-February, when the crowd tapers off before the season's final curtain-close in March. Ice fishing is a favorite pastime of the region, fostered by plenty of local resources for fishing gear and ice house rentals, and professional fishing guides for visitors.

  • Can you fish at Gull Lake?

    Gull Lake is one of the most consistent fishing lakes in Minnesota and is regularly stocked with walleye. You'll also find bluegill, sunfish, northern pike, largemouth bass, and crappie.

  • Is there perch in Gull Lake?

    You will find Walleye, Northern, Sunfish, Bluegill, Croppie, Perch, and Largemouth Bass. With abundant weed cover lining a good percentage of the shoreline, most species are provided with excellent habitat for spawning and feeding.

  • Where can I fish in Gull Lake?

    From the season opener in mid-May through mid-June it is suggested to fish around the Grassy Point as well as the Hayfield, along the opposite shoreline.
