Making the most of an adventure to Gull Lake to celebrate Easter in Minnesota is easy to do when you have access to so many fun activities while you’re in town! The following are a few you’ll want to be sure to add to your holiday itinerary this year.
Easter Egg Hunts the Entire Family Will Love
Spending time in the Gull Lake area around Easter is a great experience for everyone, but those who are traveling this way with little ones in tow will love that there are so many Easter egg hunts to enjoy during the holiday stay as well! In 2022, many of the Easter egg hunts that were previously on-hold for health reasons are back up and officially on the schedule. This makes for a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to grab their Easter baskets and get to searching in the name of fun! Head over to Gregory Park in Brainerd on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 am sharp to take part in this annual tradition in a scenic and welcoming setting. This free event is hosted by the Brainerd Rotary Club in association with Brainerd Parks and Recreation as well as Sullivan Candy and Supply. The event is ideal for kids 2 to age 9 and generally takes anywhere from 15 to 20-minutes for all of the eggs to be found.
The Warrior Early Learning Center in Brainerd is also hosting an egg hunt on Saturday, April 16th between 10:00 am and noon. The cost to enjoy this even is $3 per child and adults can enter for free as long as they have a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food shelf. This egg hunt includes more than just searching for colorful prizes in the grass. The event also provides participants with access to crafts and games to enjoy as well as stations for frosting Easter cookies. There are even bunnies on-site so that kids can take pictures with these fluffy friends as moments of their fun experience. All of the money raised at this event goes to the ECFE Scholarship Fund.
