We’ve all been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic for more than a year now, and the itch to get back to “normal” is stronger than ever. But what does our new normal look like? How can we continue to protect our family’s health while enjoying life to the fullest?
Gull Lake is a destination that checks all the boxes during these “Covid times.” As travelers are forced to reconsider where to go, how to get there, and the safety precautions they need to take, this peaceful spot in Central Minnesota beckons those who need a getaway without all the risks.
GO BY CAR
Though Gull Lake is only a 2.5-hour drive from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, many travelers are still hesitant to hop on a commercial airplane just yet. Gull Lake is simple to navigate by car, easily accessible from U.S. Interstates 94 and 35, and Minnesota State Highway 371.
Health experts advise driving to your destination during off-peak times when public rest stops are typically less crowded. Pack the car with your own drinks and snacks to avoid standing in lines inside convenience stores along the way. And of course, keep sanitizers in the car and keep your distance from others when you do need to make a pitstop.
GET OUTDOORS
It’s hard to overstate the beauty and tranquility of Gull Lake, especially during the summer months when the area is lush and alive with activity. Health experts agree that risk of Covid transmission is low in the great outdoors. And you won’t find any crowds on Gull Lake, just acres and acres of forests and water that create an unspoiled playground for kids and adults alike.
Guests to Gull Lake Beach Resorts will enjoy THE best beaches on the lake, hands down. A leisurely stroll on the sand or sitting by a firepit at the water’s edge poses little risk for catching Covid, but a guaranteed dose of fresh air and relaxation. For a bit more adventure, Gull Lake offers an abundance of outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, skiing, swimming, grilling, hiking, biking, golf and more. You’ll be amazed by how nature can recharge your batteries when you allow yourself to slow down and take it all in.
ENJOY THE SECLUSION
Possibly the best part about Gull Lake is that our resorts have no indoor common areas, just your own private cabin and lots of outside fun! You don’t have to worry about donning your mask at a check-in desk inside a stuffy lobby, and there are no elevators or enclosed stairwells to navigate. Simply proceed to your rental unit and let the vacationing begin.
The idea of a summer beach vacation can conjure up images of crowded ocean beaches with high temperatures and even higher humidity. But, in our opinion, the freshwater beaches of Gull Lake are far better. Clean and uncrowded, Gull Lake beaches are the perfect destination to enjoy the glorious Minnesota summer.
At Gull Lake Beach Resorts, we’re committed to the highest level of guest health and safety. All our units are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to ensure they meet the elevated expectations of today’s traveler. Our attention to professional care and maintenance of each unit will add to the comfort and enjoyment of your lakeside getaway.
If you’re looking for a safe and fun place to escape from quarantine and make unforgettable memories, look no farther than Gull Lake Beach Resorts. This secluded area of Gull Lake is like its own little world, far from reality, the perfect backdrop for your next vacation.
