Go for a Holiday Hike
With weather on the rise and snow firmly melted away by Memorial Day weekend, those who love to spend time lacing up their hiking boots and hitting the trails in style will be in for a treat. The Gull Lake area is packed with potential for outdoor adventurers who are excited to trek their way through a great holiday stay. The Paul Bunyan Trail can be split up into manageable sections for those who are looking for a scenic and popular route to enjoy during their stay. It’s a mixed-use trail for both hikers and cyclists, giving the route a vibrant edge that’s fun and thrilling. If you’re looking for incredible wildlife encounters, consider a hike through Pillsbury State Forest instead. The routes through this lush terrain are ideal for those looking for a challenge and access points are most readily available in Nisswa. Fritz Loven Park is another great hiking destination when you’re looking to make it a family outing that includes hikers of all ages and skill levels.
